In The Community

In addition to our concert season, LSO is dedicated to providing continued inclusive engagement opportunities for our broader Longmont community. We aim to bring the joy of music to all of our community members—including seniors, families, children, our neurodivergent population, and the underserved.

Pop-Up Concerts

Longmont Symphony Orchestra ensembles can appear just about anywhere in our community. Look for them performing at downtown outdoor events, fundraising events at various businesses in town, or at concerts in some of the many parks in this beautiful community. You never know when you are going to hear the beautiful sounds of our LSO musicians! For more information about this event, email the office at info@longmontsymphony.org.

Senior Center Performances

LSO schedules many performances during the year at various senior facilities throughout Longmont. The seniors in our community love being entertained by our LSO musicians in these intimate small environments. What a wonderful time to socialize and then listen to a talented musician play beautiful music to help enrich their day! For more information about this event, email the office at info@longmontsymphony.org.

Sensory Friendly & Family Concerts

LSO is committed to providing multiple, low-cost performances for neurodiverse individuals, their families, and their caretakers. Each year, the LSO brings additional performances for this wonderful part of our community, including a “Gentle” Nutcracker—a specially designed with a modified Nutcracker ballet and calmer music so they too can enjoy the beauty of the holiday season. We also perform additional sensory friendly concerts during the year with smaller LSO ensembles. Families in our community are thrilled to have this wonderful opportunity for their loved-ones to have such a beautiful musical experience. For more information about this event, email the office at info@longmontsymphony.org.

Ticket Outreach Programs

The Longmont Symphony Orchestra offers complimentary tickets for select concerts to those organizations in our community who help underserved populations. We are thrilled to partner with these organizations in their efforts to have music reach those who might not otherwise be able to enjoy these opportunities. For more information about this event, email the office at info@longmontsymphony.org.

4th of July Concert

The Longmont Symphony Orchestra performs every year at Thompson Park in Longmont—a free community concert event! There are picnic contests, family fun, canons, and so much more. It is truly a family event where thousands come out to participate in a fun-filled day with fellow community members. This 4th of July event has become an annual family tradition for so many in our community. For more information about this event, email the office at info@longmontsymphony.org.
