Music Scholarships
The Longmont Symphony Orchestra offers high school seniors the opportunity to receive Music Scholarships for their college pursuits.
Gary L. Dicks Memorial Scholarship
The Longmont Symphony Orchestra—alongside the Nancy L. Nixon Foundation—has established a Memorial Fund honoring the late Gary Dicks, who was a long time member of LSO’s trombone section. Each spring, a $1,000 scholarship is presented to a graduating senior who is pursuing a college education in music.

Any senior attending St. Vrain Valley Public Schools scheduled to graduate this year pursuing a college education in music.

Students must be accepted and attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university. Extra consideration given to students attending in-state supported institutions.

The Nancy L. Nixon Foundation

The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded locally. Payable in one payment directly to the college selected by recipient.
